One year ago today, we were capturing Brooke & Bill’s colorful, bohemian, wine-country wedding at La Arboleda! We love shooting at this venue because the bride and groom get access to the property for the entire weekend. There are no strict rules about arrival and departure times so the bridal party stays on the property. This allows for an environment that is super relaxed and calm. Who wouldn’t love a wedding day that starts this way?

Lake Placid is about 1.5 hours from the Canadian border in the Adirondack Mountains. Eveline & Scotty bought their first home together this time last year and decided after they closed that they would forego a ‘wedding venue’ and turn their backyard into a perfect oasis for them to get married. They spent the next 9 months getting their landscaping and LOTS of DIY projects ready for their big day.

It was one of the only overcast days we got all fall, which made for some nice, even lighting for day-time photos. Luckily, the sun decided to peek its way through for about 10 minutes during sunset where we got some stunning shots of our bride and groom.
Read MoreShooting a wedding in the Eastern Sierras has been a dream of ours since we started our business and this year we made it a reality! Savannah and Jordan chose the Double Eagle Resort and Spa in June Lake, California for their wedding location.
