June Lake Wedding at the Double Eagle Resort and Spa // Jordan & Savannah

Shooting a wedding in the Eastern Sierras has been a dream of ours since we started our business and this year we made it a reality! Savannah and Jordan chose the Double Eagle Resort and Spa in June Lake, California for their wedding location. It is nestled in the corner of the June Lake Loop, an iconic drive (especially during the fall months), just north of Mammoth Lakes. The Double Eagle sits amongst hundreds of aspen and pine trees with cabins sprinkled throughout the property and towering crags of the Sierra Nevada mountains thousands of feet above. Sav and Jordan got married in early fall during the first turn of the leaves. There was a warmth and crispness in the air as their wedding day got started. It was an intimate celebration with only their closest family and friends in attendance. Their day had an ease and calmness about it; there was no rush or pressure. Savannah and Jordan are a laid back couple who love the outdoors and June Lake could not have been a better fit for their wedding. Sav knocked everyone’s socks off with her hilarious and heart-felt vows to Jordan. Jordan had everyone in tears during his vows to Savannah. Easily the best part of the day was sneaking away during golden hour for portraits around Silver Lake and the June Lake Loop. It is a place that is near and dear to our own hearts; a place we camp at regularly. Geoff and I knew lots of gorgeous nooks to sneak away too, which made for some jaw dropping photos. Another favorite of the day was all their details and table markers. They used all the National Parks they have visited together for their seating chart, which were handmade by Savannah’s sister. Every detail reflected their love of being active and going on adventures together. It was a joy and honor to be a part of it!
