Redwood Ranch Wedding // Mike & Amanda
Nothing but the best vibes looking back on Mike & Amanda’s wedding at the base of Sequoia National Park! They wanted their wedding to feel more like a kick-back weekend with all their people, filled with camping, river hangs, and good music over all the traditional stuff. It was all that and more!
They found the perfect venue to host their celebration of love and union. Redwood Ranch at Three Rivers is back a long, windy road, down a steep driveway and nestled next to a beautiful river. There is no cell service for miles making it the perfect place for an intimate, adventure filled weekend away from the rest of the world. Mike & Amanda stayed at a rustic, beautifully redone barn on the property while all their guests tent or trailer camped. There were chickens, peacocks, and cats roaming around amongst guests. They had a badass group of guys that provided live music, DJing, and brought the biggest set up of speakers we’ve ever seen.
Mike & Amanda met when they started nursing school together. Mike was the only guy in a sea of women and swore he wouldn’t date anyone in his class while going back to school. Whelp, they couldn’t deny the forces between them and were no sooner dating, living together, adopting dogs, and now married. They are truly two of the most down-to-earth, mellow people you’ve ever met; frequenting music festivals, surfing, going on adventures, and traveling together. Their kindness and warmth is magnetic, which became even more clear seeing them interact with all their friends and family. They are two incredibly loved individuals!
Did I also mention that Amanda rocked LIGHT UP SHOES for their reception?! They were paired with dual fur coats they found at thrift stores. Do they come any cooler? Nope.
It was a total honor to a part of their wedding weekend and will also go down as a super special trip for us because our daughter got to come with us at just 8 weeks old!
Congrats Mike & Amanda!! We love you guys!!
