One year ago today, we were capturing Brooke & Bill’s colorful, bohemian, wine-country wedding at La Arboleda! We love shooting at this venue because the bride and groom get access to the property for the entire weekend. There are no strict rules about arrival and departure times so the bridal party stays on the property. This allows for an environment that is super relaxed and calm. Who wouldn’t love a wedding day that starts this way?

Crystal Cove State Park Elopement // Muffy & Jarred
Muffy & Jarred traveled all the way from Florida for their sweet little elopement in Newport Beach this past March. In some ways, their special day feels like yesterday and in some ways it feels like a lifetime ago with all that has gone on in the world in such a short time. Muffy and Jarred arrived in California just in time before the COVID restrictions were set in place.

Lake Placid Wedding at the Whiteface Club & Resort // Ashley & Derek
This wedding was SUCH a special one! Geoff and I had the pleasure of traveling to the epic summer spot of Lake Placid, New York for Ashley and Derek’s big day. Lake Placid is about 1.5 hours from the Canadian border in the Adirondack Mountains. It was no easy feat to get to from Southern California and I’d be lying if I said we weren’t a little nervous about traveling across the country with our 5 month old at the time.

Ole Hanson Beach Club Wedding // Jo & Jeren
Jo & Jeren are a magnetic couple who can radiate a room with their sweet smiles! They were married this past October at an iconic Southern California wedding venue, Ole Hanson Beach Club. Full of history, Ole Hanson is an all-white Stucco building nestled on a cliff surrounded by dozens of palm trees. The ceremony and reception locations have the most incredible views overlooking the Pacific.

Bohemian Backyard Wedding in Ojai // Scotty & Eveline
This wedding was filled with lots of dogs, DIY touches, warm tones, and golden light. Eveline & Scotty bought their first home together this time last year and decided after they closed that they would forego a ‘wedding venue’ and turn their backyard into a perfect oasis for them to get married. They spent the next 9 months getting their landscaping and LOTS of DIY projects ready for their big day.

Loved everything about this cozy wedding day in September! Emma & Kyle were married on the beautiful property of Maravilla Gardens, a working farm and wedding venue all in one! It was one of the only overcast days we got all fall, which made for some nice, even lighting for day-time photos. Luckily, the sun decided to peek its way through for about 10 minutes during sunset where we got some stunning shots of our bride and groom.
