26 Miles Across the Sea

Oh Catalina, a place that is so near and dear to hearts, I get warm and fuzzies just thinking about all our memories here. Geoff and I technically had our first "date" on the rock. And by date, I mean scuba diving, kayaking, hiking, and buffalo-milks galore! Hard to believe that special, three-day-date was over 5 years ago now. In any case, we are lucky to visit when we can!

This summer, I was able to head out a few separate times for work. I know, hard to believe work exists in this magical land, but it does. When we aren't photographing, Geoff and I are both ocean lifeguards for Los Angeles county. Which is what I've done off-and-on at Catalina for the past 8 summers. Have to pause here because I just laughed a bit that I've done anything for 8 years. I think that officially means I'm old! 

Anyways, when I wasn't at the beach, I grabbed some shots of my favorite spots in Avalon. Which mostly include my obsession with tiny cars and insane views. Enjoy!
