We are Geoff & Lyndsi Thornton; a crazy in-love husband and wife photography team based out of Southern California. We have been documenting weddings and love stories all over the United States since 2015. 

On any given work day, you can find us in our cozy office loft, computers in front of us, coffee in-hand, our dog snuggled next to us, and a podcast or EDM on our speakers. We have a home filled with house plants, candles, surfboards, and art pieces we’ve created and collected from all our travels together.

Expect us to close down a restaurant or coffee shop with you. Plan on telling us your love stories until we’re all crying, laughing, and totally in-the-moment together. Expect us to give you multiple bear hugs, give you our 110%, and document moments you will look back on for a lifetime to come.

Getting to know you is what excites and inspires us. That’s what we capture in our photography. It is in the pursuit of getting to know you that we develop the wonderful storyline that becomes your special day. We strive to tune in to your love and capture it in its’ natural habitat. 

With backgrounds in photo journalism, business management and psychology, we bring our knowledge, personalities, creativity and ability to help our clients feel completely comfortable in-front of a camera, into every single shoot. We intentionally go about your session or wedding day as if it were our own.

Not only is Lynds an incredible talent behind the lens, she is a whiz with emails, scheduling, location scouting, and coordinating everything behind-the-scenes of Geoff & Lyndsi Photography. She is our backbone!"

“I could go on forever about how crazy I am about this hubby and business partner of mine! I feel like the luckiest girl in the world, as I get to be his wife and work alongside him every day. He is the true creative genius to our work as a photography team. 

Let me just give you a few examples of how amazing he is and what he brings to our wedding experience. I loving-ly call him our “photo Sherpa” as he can usually be seen carrying not only all our extra camera gear, but carrying all our client’s extra items as well (the brides purse, the grooms jacket), all while taking incredible photographs.

He has been known to sew up a wedding gown when the beading fell apart at the last minute. He carried one of our brides through the mud to get to the ultimate shooting spot so she wouldn’t get her dress dirty. He will make sure your grandparents are comfortable and taken care-of, help move chairs, pet your dog, and go above and beyond in every way to make sure our clients and their guests are having the time of their lives. 

Geoff has a heart of gold. He has a warmth and fire about him that makes everyone want to be around him. He is hilarious, personable, and knows a little bit about everything. Thus, he can strike up a conversation with just about anyone, whether it's your 6-year-old nephew or 85-year-old grandmother. 

I love reconnecting with him after the getting ready portion of a wedding day, to see him talking-shop with groomsman about beer, music, surfing, dogs, and whatever else it is guys talk about on a wedding day. 

Geoff has been working as a photographer for over a decade. He brings his BA in photo journalism and is our details guy. I can always count on him to get the “Ah-Ha” shots that truly blow my (and our clients) mind. He brings his unique view of the world through the lens in a way that brings out all the emotion and will make you ‘feel’ your day for years on end.”
